Day 1
Your afternoon arrival into New York will soon have you in the midst of all the action on Broadway. Join your tour director on a walking tour of Broadway and Times Square.
Day 2
Start your day with a guided city tour. See the some of the famous landmarks such as Central Park, Lincoln Center, the Ground Zero site, Rockerfeller Center, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Apollo Theater and the Harlem Times Square. Enjoy your tour of the Radio City Music Hall where you visit the Great Stage designed by Peter Clark, the famous Wurlitzer Organ, Radio City Avenue Store and the famous Rockerfeller Center. In the evening attend your first Broadway performance.
Day 3
After breakfast transfer to Battery Park. Take the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. Enjoy lunch at the Batter Park and later return to Times Square for some free time to explore this fascinating block. Broadway, flashing lights, and trendy boutiques have made this area of New York a people watchers paradise. Finish the evening with a 830 meter lift to the observation deck at the Empire State Building.
Day 4
Be prepared for a great day of Hip-Hopping. Learn about the origins and development of Hip-Hop music and culture as you discover hip-hop's most important landmarks, film and video locations, famous sites, neighborhoods, and exhibits. On your contemporary dance class you will partake in an intensive two-hour class taught by a leading NY dancer or choreographer. In addition to learning current hip-hop choreography, students will also receive audition techniques and advice. Have fun!!!!
Day 5
After your morning stroll through Central Park, continue on to The Metropolitan Museum for Fine Art. In the evening attend your second Broadway performance.
Day 6
Your day of dance - No visit to New York would be complete for dancers without a visit to Julliard. Your tour of Juilliard School will guide you around the facilities and studios. Your tour will be led by a current student who is trained and equipped to answer questions from a their perspective as well as share with you their personal experiences as a Juilliard student. You will have the opportunity to see classrooms, practice and performance spaces. Be sure to have all your questions ready. During your afternoon visit the New York Theater where your tour will include the home of the NYC Ballet Company. Tickets to a NYC Ballet will be available pending performance dates.
Day 7
Start your day with a visit to the Natural History Museum. Become inspired and discover our responsibility in this cultural world as you explore one of the world's most extensive collections in the Eastern Hemisphere. Your final night in New York, celebrate at the famous Blue Note for an evening dinner with a live Jazz performance.
Day 8
Return flight home with dreams of your next trip to the Big Apple.
