DAY 1 International Flight to Paris
DAY 2
Upon arrival, meet your tour Travel Your World Tour Manager at Charles D'Gaulle Airport in Paris. Enjoy your bus tour of Paris to include all the famous sights. Transfer to hotel and after a short break take a walk to familiarize yourself with your new neighborhood. Then enjoy the rest of your day on a walking tour of Montmartre. Enjoy dinner - your first real French cuisine. Bon Appetite
DAY 3
Start your day by enjoying your visit to Parsons School of Art & Design. Parsons is widely regarded to be one of the world's most prestigious art and design institutions. It is also a very prominent and esteemed fashion school, producing legendary designers like Marc Jacobs and Isaac Mizrahi. Your afternoon will be time to explore the fashions found on the Champs Elysees, Avenue Montaigne and the rue du faubourg St. Honore as well as the Clingnancourt Flea Market.
DAY 4
Meeting Mona - This morning you will tour the famous Louvre Museum.Your guided tour will include many of the popular collections including the Winged Victory of Samothrace, Venus de Milo and of course Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. After your lunch walk to the Fragonard Perfume Museum where French perfumers have been creating fragrances from flowers, leaves, mosses, herbs, spices and other treasures for centuries. Later, walking along the Seine River through the Tuileries gardens and visit the Vendome Square with the most fabulous jewelry shops in the world.
DAY 5
Relax and enjoy a wonderful day excursion to Normandy. Plan to depart early in the morning and enjoy the beautiful countryside, the Calvados and farms of Normandy. Visit and tour the chocolatrium, ?Michel Cluizel?, where you will discover the fascinating adventure of the cocoa bean and the creation of chocolate. Enjoy lunch in the villa of Conches, a typical Norman village with 11th century buildings, famous dungeons and a 13th century church of Ste. Foe well known for it?s amazing stained glass. Here you will also tour the Museum of Agriculture, the old Norman heritage and later take a guided tour of the Linen Factory, where you will learn the process of farming flax through the creating of the fiber into linen. Late afternoon return to Paris.
DAY 6
This morning you will depart by train to Chateau de Versailles, one of the world?s most spectacular palaces in the world. Once home of the Sun King, Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette, you will explore the splendor of the Hall of Mirrors, the Royal Apartments, Chapel, and the Royal Bedrooms. Be sure to bring along your binoculars.... the ceilings are magnificent!!! Spend your later afternoon at Basilique du Sacre- Coeur.
DAY 7
Mode a? Paris Fashion School ? Enjoy your morning visit and tour. Paris has always been labeled as the fashion capital of the world and the Museum of Fashion certainly will bring the history of fashion alive for you. The museum holds a collection of over 90,000 pieces and for over the last 3 centuries. After lunch tour the Musee de la Mode et du Textile. This massive museum is the home of over 16,000 costumes from the 16th century to today. Plus you will find over 35,000 fashion accessories and 30,000 pieces of fabric. A fashion designers dream!
DAY 8
Galleries Lafayette, founded in 1893, is one of the favorite spots of all travelers to Paris - the best of shopping malls with everything fashionable that you have ever dreamed of all under one stain glassed dome. After lunch and a French cafe, take a leisurely stroll to the Eiffel tower where you will take the elevator to the top! Again, do not forget to take your camera and sweater as it is very windy up there! Dinner and an evening cruise on the Seine River, a perfect way to end your Parisian experience.
