Day 1

Your Baltic adventure starts with your overnight flight to Tallinn, Estonia.

Day 2

Tallinn is a diverse city, mixing modern life with medieval history.  It is located on the Northern coast of the country, on the banks of the Gulf on Finland. Tour the Old Town where you will visit the ancient city walls, the Toompea Castle, the Dome Church and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. In the afternoon you will take an excursion to Kadriorg Park with a visit to the Kadriorg Palace surrounded by beautiful gardens. It is the former palace of Peter the Great and was built just after the Great Northern War.  The palace now houses part of the Art Museum of Estonia and is the presidential residence. Enjoy your medieval dinner at Restaurant Peppersack.

Day 3

Tour of Rocca-al-Mare Open air Museum, one of the few open air museums in the world.  The museum is divided into four different parts that correspond to the typical village types.  These types include the Western Estonia, Southern Estonia, Northern Estonia, and the islands.  Later return to Tallin.

Day 4

Enjoy tour full day excursion to Lahemaa National Park, which is located in Northern Estonia in the Gulf of Finland.  It was the first national park in the Soviet Union and is one of the major attractions of tourism in Estonia.  Its statement calls for the preservation, research and promotion of Northern-Estonian landscapes, ecosystems, biodiversity and national heritage. 

Day 5

Your journey continues to Riga, capital of Lativa. Enjoy the drive and sights along the coast of the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Riga. Independent once again since 1991, Riga's Art Nouveau center is notable for is extensive Jugendstil German Art Nouveau architecture that has won it UNESCO World Heritage Site designation.
  

Day 6

Spend the day with a sightseeing tour of Riga. Founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert von Buxhoeveden and largest of the three Baltic Capitals.  Your walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument.  Later enjoy your dinner with the folk show in the medieval restaurant Rozengrals. This resturant was mentioned in the scripts in 1293 as the most ancient wine-vault and festival place of the Riga City Council!

Day 7

A tour to the Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda.where it is noted for the Devonian sandstone cliffs that in some places are as high as 90 meters. Listen to the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida, see Maja’s Tombstone, the ruins of the Episcopal Castle, the ruins of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword and the mysterious Gutman Cave before you return to Riga in time for dinner.

Day 8

Your last Baltic capital - Vilnius, Lithuania. The Old Town of Vilnius was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994. The town "has preserved an impressive complex of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and classical buildings as well as its medieval layout and natural setting". Take an evening walking tour along the Gediminas Avenue.

Day 9

Vilnius is known for more than 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches. Your sightseeing tour includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn. Later in the afternoon enjoy your excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, with the well-presented Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve. Celebrate your Baltic experience with dinner in the restaurant Kybynlar featuring Karaimu cuisine and a traditional folk show.



Day 10

Your tour ends this morning with your International flight home.
